Sean B. Lloyd, BA, MOT, OT (AB)
Owner, Lead OT

Sean is the lead OT at Lloyd OT Services. Along with his wife and business partner Jessica, he started the company in Victoria, BC in 2017. They moved it to Alberta in 2019, where they continue to reside.

Since graduating in 2011 from the University of British Columbia with a Master of Occupational Therapy, Sean has assessed and treated clients with a variety of neurological and orthopedic impairments in hospitals, residential care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and community-based health care. He has worked in British Columbia’s provincial health authorities, Alberta Health Services, WorkSafe BC, WCB Alberta, the Insurance Corporation of BC, Veterans Affairs Canada. He has provided fieldwork opportunities to occupational therapy assistant students in British Columbia and occupational therapy students in Alberta at the University of Alberta and Carlton University’s Biomedical Sciences program.

Sean provides expert medical-legal services to plaintiff and defense counsel in Functional Capacity Evaluation, Cost of Future Care Analysis/Life Care Plans, Rebuttal, and Critique Responsive Reports. He has specialty training in The Matheson Functional Capacity Evaluation and Life Care Planning Programs as well as in Life Care Planning through the Institute of Rehabilitation Education and Training (Formerly held at the University of Florida Life Care Planning program). He is currently working on his Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) and Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE) certifications. Sean has been accepted as an expert in Occupational Therapy and Functional Capacity Evaluation by the Supreme Court of British Columbia.

His role as an Occupational Therapist is to assess and treat clients to normalize their function, independence, and safety in areas of personal care, domestic management, vocational and leisure activities. His clientele includes people with physical injuries affecting how they can participate in daily activities. Sean is a registered Occupational Therapist and a member in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT).

Jessica C. Koch, JD
Owner, Operations Manager

Jessica has been overseeing the operations of Lloyd OT Services since its inception in 2017.

She has a diverse background in law, non-profit and finance. Jessica graduated from the University of Victoria Law School in 2011. She practiced personal injury, family and general civil law on Vancouver Island prior to the birth of the first of her and Sean’s three sons.

From law, Jessica moved into the non-profit sector, working as manager of the Vancouver Island chapter of an international health charity.

Upon relocating to Alberta where most of Jessica’s family resides, she moved into financial advising and coaching, and continues to manage the operations of Lloyd OT Services.

Sandra Impey, MHS, BScOT (C)
Senior Consultant

Sandra Impey has a Master of Health Studies degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.  She has been practicing Occupational Therapy for the past 34 years working primarily with the adult population and across a wide spectrum of injury, illness and disease processes. 

In 1996, Sandra moved into private practice preparing medical legal reports and cost of care analysis for both plaintiff and defense counsel. She is FCE-trained using both the Matheson and Occupro protocols and has completed all the Matheson Mastery Series courses (Forensic Rehabilitation, Life Care Planning, FCE with TBI, and Advanced FCE).  She completed the Matheson coursework required for Certification in Life Care Planning (Advanced).  She has completed Life Care Planning courses specific to Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury and Amputations through the University of Florida.  

Sandra has qualified as an expert witness in the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench in March 2019, December 2012; the British Columbia Supreme Court in 2006 and in 2015 was affirmed as an expert witness in Occupational Therapy in CPP-Disability appeal hearings.

Andrea Meding, BScOT (C)
OT - Red Deer and area

Andrea  is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience and a passion for making a difference in people's lives.  With a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, Andrea has dedicated the past 17 years to serving the diverse needs of individuals across Alberta. Her journey in Occupational Therapy has taken her through various settings, from pediatrics to geriatrics, addressing a wide range of injury and disease processes.

Having worked in acute care, outpatient facilities, supportive living, long-term care, and home care, Andrea has gained a comprehensive understanding of care needs across the spectrum. Hailing from a rural Alberta farm, she brings a unique blend of practical wisdom and evidence-based practice to her interventions, ensuring holistic and effective client centered care.

What truly sets Andrea apart is her genuine connection with her clients. She thrives on understanding their unique challenges and collaborating with them to find tailored solutions, all within the context of their own environment. For Andrea, assessing and working with clients in their surroundings is her favorite part of being an OT.

Andrea finds immense joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially when surrounded by her cherished family—her supportive husband and two wonderful children. When she's not relishing these precious moments, Andrea wears many hats: from coaching softball and basketball to immersing herself in the great outdoors through summer camping trips and exhilarating winter skiing adventures. Balancing her passions with her dedication to her job and family, Andrea embraces each day with gratitude and enthusiasm.

Emma Balshaw, BKin, MScOT
OT - Calgary and area

Emma has an honors degree in kinesiology and a master’s degree in occupational therapy. Emma has experience working primarily with adults who have various mental and/or physical health challenges. Emma has spent time working in homecare, stroke rehabilitation, and most recently in acute psychiatry. Born and raised in a rural community in New Brunswick, Emma has found great joy in visiting clients in their homes across southern Alberta as it makes her feel at home. Emma values a client-centered approach and believes getting to see clients in their home environment is an integral way to understand what activities are meaningful to the client. When not working, Emma enjoys curling up on the couch with her beautiful standard poodle puppy and reading a book or watching doggy YouTube. Emma is a registered Occupational Therapist and a member in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT). 

Allison McLean, MScOT

Allison holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in occupational therapy and has practiced as an OT for more than 30 years.  She has worked in a wide variety of areas, including headache and concussion management, general chronic pain management, in-patient mental health, and industrial rehabilitation. 

Allison has co-authored a book chapter and published several articles on primary headaches.  She continues to work and grow in the area of headache and concussion management.  Allison also has a Low Vision Rehabilitation Graduate Certificate (University of Alabama-Birmingham) and continues to explore photophobia in headache and the use of compensatory visual strategies for photophobia relief in this population.    

Allison’s Master’s degree specialty is in work evaluation.  She was previously certified as an ErgoScience/PWPE FCE evaluator, and is completing her Matheson FCE certification program.  Allison enjoys functional capacity evaluation and work demands analysis, return to work planning and support, ergonomics interventions, and sustainable accommodation development.

Yun Cho, BCR, MScOT
OT - Calgary and area

Yun is a dedicated registered occupational therapist with a wealth of experience in supportive living and acute care settings. Graduating from the University of Alberta with a master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Yun's educational background also includes completing a Bachelor's degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Yun is a passionate individual with diverse interests. She finds joy in training in Muay Thai, expressing her creativity through vlogging and crafting entertaining TikTok videos, and indulging her love for dance, music, and interior design.

In her occupational therapy practice, Yun prioritizes establishing therapeutic relationships built on trust and understanding. With a commitment to creative problem-solving, she works closely with individuals to identify and overcome their unique occupational challenges. Yun brings her authentic self to each interaction, leveraging her open-mindedness and therapeutic sense of self to empower individuals in achieving their functional goals and improving their overall occupational performance.

Haidee Law, BScOT, MPH

Haidee is an occupational therapist with over 20 years of experience dedicated to enhancing people’s lives through delivering rehabilitation services and leading allied health programs. Her expertise spans clinical education, operations management, professional practice oversight, and quality improvement. As a visionary leader, Haidee consistently drives positive change, supporting others in delivering exceptional care.

Striving for innovation, Haidee develops programs empowering individuals to reach their full potential. Her commitment to evidence-based practices and industry trends ensures clients receive the highest quality of care, leading to improved outcomes and a better quality of life. Actively contributing to the rehabilitation field, she volunteers as a practice network chair for the Canadian Association of Occupation Therapists and serves on the Bow Valley College Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant Advisory Committee. Haidee is also a UofA Alumni Mentor Volunteer.

Beyond her professional achievements, Haidee enjoys reading, connecting with nature and adventures with her partner and two young daughters. A self-proclaimed foodie, Haidee is always up for exploring new culinary adventures.
